Meet Our Founder
Our founder and owner, David Simmons has spent over 25 years in the construction, outdoor living, lighting, and playground equipment business. After working for several different firms, his deep love of architecture and design led to him founding his own swimming pool design and construction business in 2001. During that time, he dedicated himself to both industry and product knowledge, and established a reputation as a leader in high-end custom design. David has built custom backyards for CEO’s, professional athletes, and sitting members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Along the way, he’s been recognized in industry print magazines and has won multiple industry awards. He and his wife, Becky, raised their five children in Texas, but have now relocated to Middle Tennessee and he continues to focus his passion for both children and design with Artios Play. In addition to building custom playground equipment and perfectly designed outdoor spaces, he’s an active member in the Lord’s church, both preaching and teaching, giving of his time to various charitable efforts, and supporting schools of preaching, students who attend those schools, and children’s homes and hospitals.
